With all the recent nascar news on the new 2013 Ford Fusion coming in 2013, does anybody have info. as to when we might see anything from Lional on the new Fusion in 1/24 scale for possible future release, thanks to all.

The mold's won't be ready till the end of 2012 and won't release what it looks like until they show what the real car looks like.

Main thing is they have to wait for NASCAR to approve the 2013 car for each manufacturer. They cannot even think about a mold until that is done as NASCAR may make the manufacturers (Ford, Chevy, Toyota, Dodge?) make changes before they approve the car for actual track clearance. Once NASCAR approves the car and the Manufacturer signs off, then LNC can begin to build the molds.

The model in the picture looks like the current Dodge.
The caption says it is a model previous die cast. I guess to give an example of what the article is talking about for the process of how they make them. Maybe Lionel out to reprint the book that Action put out several years back about the history of the company and the process to make a diecast.
