that would be a no on the second comment. unfortunately JJ leds the points with wonder boy second and then bowyer.

Can someone explain the Biffle thing to me. Out of gas and cannot keep up with the pace car, does not cross the finish line first or even second, yet he is given the victory because the field is locked?
If he had ran out on the back stretch and could not even make it to the grass, would he still be the winner?
The inconsistency kills me. No green white checker, NASCAR apparently decides they do not have enough time to get that extra 90 seconds of racing in?
Then the Biffle thing on top of it? I am not a Boyer fan or anything, but I would be questioning that call if I was RCR.

WTG Nascar! First lets rain delay it then put it on ESPN2 where half of the fans can't watch it! Thank God for some football! Did they start it ,who won? Why not put it on espn?
They did, unfortunatley I never heard any TV announcement that they did. Thank goodness for members here or I would have missed the contraversy finish

Just so everyone knows this much....The ONE lap they would have raced was pushing it. Being from the midwest (Missouri as most know and growing up in KC) it was PITCH BLACK when they had that last caution all the camera lights made it look like daytime when it wasn't. I'm happy it ended like that because there could have been some serious accidents. Not to mention JJ woulda spun Bowyer to be a dick. Plus they said that Rousch told Biffle to slow the field down and turn it into the grass right after he crossed the line so they could push the car and NOBODY would touch it other then the team. Stemming from Edwards penalty earlier this week. Also on the side.....this is why Kansas needs lights anyone who lives in the midwest knows in Sept./Oct. the storms are not predictable anything can happen! ****** morons can't do a damn schedule worth a crap giving Kansas, Gateway, Chicago crap race dates with shitty weather.

Yeah, the camera makes for amazing lighting when it isn't there. They ended a truck race at Loudon in 2004. On TV, it looked dark, but not more than a cloudy day. I was actually outside and it seemed like night.

My question still goes unanswered, how can Biffle cross the finish line 4th and be credited with the win?
I am not really concerned with what Roush told him to do, last time I checked Roush didn't have control of NASCAR ... maybe things have changed.

I do know this, had Gordon or Johnson or Bush or one of those clowns won the race like that, all the conspiracy therorist would be losing their mind.

Much like credibility, there is an objectionability problem in NASCAR. I do not really care, if they did credit Biffle with a 4th place finish and move those other 3 guys up it only hurts my driver, but it sure seems like the WFF of motorsports is in full effect these days.
Embarrassing.

i agree Blacker. and yea Nascar said that since the field was locked nobody could pass anybody. but at the same time if you remember back in the Busch race Robbie didnt keep up speed and others passed him so i dont know. nascar is keeping consistent with inconsistencies.

Your correct. They said right after the race that Bowyer was leading in points, but they musta made a mistake. I should know better than to believe the announcer. You are correct.

It is now "reasonable speed", what happened to maintaining pace car speed? This is the problem, they just seem to change the rules, pretty major rules as they go along, cant do that.
I would rather have Biffle finished 4th, Jeff lost the extra 5 or 10 points to Bowyer and Johnson and at least been able to say "thats right".
Now, although it helped my guy, the sport iteself looks stupid.

I'll bet Stewart would have liked to have known this interpretation before the rain delay, maybe he would not have had to worry about turning his motor off and on, he could have just maintained "reasonable speed" and no one could have passed him even if he had ran out of gas.

Oh well, that is all I have to say about it. I wanted to know if anyone had inside knowledge but we do not. We are all in the same boat, left to wonder and scratch our heads and guess at what the rules will mean next week.
Later guys! ;o)

Another screw job by nascar again! No wonder nascar is losing in tv ratings w/ this crap. It looked like half the fans left before the race ended. Nascar knew they couldn't finish the race cause of darkness. So why not finish it up on Monday?
Thats BS w/that win!

That is what they said, but the rules say otherwise. Flag is out every race when they hit turn 4, you still have to cross the finish line first to win.
You still have to maintain pace car speed under caution ... at least you used to. Field was locked? Field is always locked under caution, but if you cant maintain speed you lose your spots. If your motor stops, for whatever reason, you lose spots and laps until you get it fixed, it was always pretty simple ... or so I thought.

I do not really care about the details of who won or any of that, I have seen a ton of guys under different circumstances under yellow who could not keep up with the pace car, flat tire, overheating, out of gas, everything, they all lost their position if they could not maintain pace car speed. I do not know why this instance was different, other than NASCAR just decided it was.

Why are there rules if they are just ignored? This exact instance is governed by NASCAR regulation, but it was not applied like it has been done 100 time previously. This one time it was different.

You know blacker I couldn't agree with you more. Funny thing about this, IF Gordon or Johnson would have been in the lead and this exact scenerio had played out, There would have been a consperacy theroy like we had never heard before. The news crews and media would have been all over it and 75% of the fans would be protesting the finish. Then at talladega this next weekend the bottle and cup throwing would have started at the beginning of the race not just the ending. Don't get me wrong. I'm not sticking up for Gordon or Johnson but we all know that if it would have been it would be a consperacy. We would all hear it weel past the end of the chase but since it wasn't a hendricks car that won it will all die down quickly. It's ashame that NASCAR can't be a little consistant. ???

Like i said before, think back to Robby Gordon in the Busch race, he "didnt keep up pace" so he was being moved back. and yea it would have been a theory situation.
