I recently picked up this car. I didn´t even have to drive to customs because I found a store in England selling it.
Picked it up for $40 shipped.

It´s a (I think) 2005 manufactured 1986 bodystyle Ford Thunderbird, driven by Mark Martin in 1988 for Carolina Ford Dealers. It´s an RCCA Elite model. 1 of 600 produced according to the box. This one is #479

Nice add! The front end looks like a plastic model, at least from this picture anways.
Not just the front end. The whole car does.
I guess that appearance is partially caused by the paint (no metallics, no effect paint, just plain white and plain red) and the rounded edges of the car body.

From up close I can say the interior doesn´t help. It rather adds to the plastic appearance, but then again, I never was a big fan of the red interiors.

Still, when you look closer the fine detail, the (nicer) older style hoodpins and the mesh grille get rid of the illusion that this might e anything other then a high detail elite diecast. I´ll add a picture of the engine bay later today. The engine in this car is truly a work of art.
