I have this particular 1996 piece. I even have the 1995 edition. What I am wondering, though, is was there a piece like this produced in 1997? I've seen a lot of other drivers with 1997 pieces like this, but not Jeff Gordon. Any info or pictures on a 1997 edition?

I don't know of any produced like that in 1997...all i have is his regular release which had Agricultural Products on the trunk area instead of Coca Cola and Pepsi made its first appearance on the car in 1997.

as far as i know the only 1997 Jeff Gordon 1/64 diecast that was produced by RC was the 97 preview edition everything else that came out that year for Jeff was done by Action, RCCA, & Winners Circle, That was Jeff's first year in Winners Circle If I am correct :)

Yes, 1997 Preview was the last RC Jeff Gordon car. Coca Cola was not on the 1997 car. They left after Jeff made it clear...in victory lane...that he preferred Pepsi!

97 was the first year for WC...so yes, it is indeed his first year with WC. :) The first WC car I ever got was the Chroma Premier car...I didn't even know that there was a new company until my brother brought it home for me one day early in 1997.

That's right on the money not much to add to that. I do have a picture for this car.
