After he and Cody Ware walked away uninjured from their vicious collision in Saturday's XFINITY Series race at Las Vegas Motor Speedway, Darrell Wallace Jr. took some time to ponder the fact that it could have been much worse.
When Ware spun his No. 25 Chevrolet in Turn 2 with 63 laps to go, Wallace had nowhere to go and drilled the left front of Ware's car with the right side of his No. 6 Ford.
While the contact ripped so much off the right side of Wallace's car that it left the roll cage visible, the Roush Fenway Racing driver was thankfully in the process of spinning when his car approached Ware's, which prevented a head-on impact in Ware's door.
After having some time to digest exactly what happened, Wallace -- whose nickname is "Bubba" -- used Twitter to ruminate on neither driver getting hurt.
Here's what Bubba had to say:

As bad as it was, I believe the good lord was looking out. If I didn't spin, and had hit him in the door.. Mm scary thought.
