I have started to clean out the closet to see what I have hidden in there. It's amazing the cars that you find that you forgot you had. So far, I have been at it two days and haven't even got a third of what I own out of there. I am updating my inventory and seeing what I want to get rid of and what I want to keep. (This is only my 1/24 scale cars.) Stay posted to see what kind of treasures and surprises I uncover.
For example, I had forgotten that they only made 100 Kasey Kahne ROTY elites that weren't autographed. (They made 600 that were autographed, but those sold out quickly, so I had to "settle" for one that wasn't auto'd.) It turned out that the non-autographed version became more valuable than the autographed version because they made less of them.
I also have the Platinum elite version of Kasey's first win at Richmond. This is back when they were producing anywhere from 144 to 300 of the platinum elites, but for some reason, they only made 99 of these. (I have #12). I also have noticed that a lot of Kasey's rookie cars (elites) were very low # productions. (i.e. MOPAR - 444, Mountain Dew - 540, etc.)
Man this is fun...
