In April 1997, there was a “gas out” conducted nationwide in protest of gas prices. Gasoline prices dropped 30 cents a gallon overnight.

On Tuesday, June 5th 2007 all Americans who are sick of high gas prices are not to go to a gas station in protest of high gas prices. Gas is now anywhere from $3.50 to $4.00 a gallon in most places. It takes about 40 to 70 dollars to fill up the tank.

If all Americans do not go to the pump on June 5th it would take more than 3 Billion dollars out of oil companies pockets for just one day, so please do not go to the gas station on Tuesday, June 5th 2007. Let’s try to put a dent in the Middle Eastern oil companies for at least one day.

If you agree (which I can’t see why you wouldn’t) mark you calendars & tell everyone you know.

It won't drop prices at all...On June 6th most of those people will get gas...hence making June 6th a bigger profit day. Not to mention you would have to change the governments regulations on gas prices. By the stories I have seen even China Japan Brittin Germany Italy all the major countries have gas prices over $3 a gallon in US money. It's about time we start dealing with the prices and changes. I don't even let myself stress over the cost. It's $2.99 here in St. Louis as of today. Tomorrow be $3.20 probably if not more. In Kansas City (I went home over the weekend) it was $3.29 some places $3.19 others and I saw as low as $3.09. Cali can keep their bullshit reasons to need to have all the regulations on gas. Everything in this world will kill ya evenutally anyways. Besides when has the EPA actually been correct? How do we know ethonal won't be more dangerous in the end? R-12 for example is no more dangerous then 134a. Both are killing the enviroment in different ways. But being in a industry where I see oil prices that change weekly even daily (yes gas prices effect oil prices too) you start realizing it's time to stop bitching and stressing and just deal with it. Ok I have had my rant about this. Just remember if you don't get gas on the 5th don't get it the 4th or 6th or at all just stop driving maybe then if enough people quit all together it will make an impact. Just remember supply and demand can raise prices on either end of the spectrum.

We have E-85 Gasoline which is Ethanol based, 85% Corn Based. Unfortunately, due to our Governments Restrictions, they are regulated to stay within $.99.9 per Gallon on regular gas, eventhough they could sell it for less than $1.00 per gallon!!!! Talk about GOVERNMENT GONE WRONG!!!

Has anyone actually seen how per gallon is taxed by local and federal government. At one station her they post it on the pump. $1.36 per gallon! If we weren't paying that our gas would be $1.65 a gallon. Now that is what gets me. They already take a 1/4 of my payroll, then there comes the sales tax at 9% here. But a $1.36 a gallon for gas!! Doesn't our contstitution say it's against the law to double tax? I think the Fed. Goverment needs to be protested more than I think the service stations do!!

Little bit of irony. During the Clinton era, people would protest, and say we needed gas prices raised so we can help people conserve (because of the hight prices) and help prevent global warming. Now that the prices have gone up, these same people are complaining
