Did anyone here buy the Denny Hamlin 1:24 Air Jordan custom truck? Ended up going to $172.50. My $170 bid was beat with 10 seconds to go. Im 50/50 disappointed I lost out. Really wanted it, but the look on my wife's face would have been crazy. Almost pushed it to $200 but didnt know if I would keep going, lol. Congrats to whoever bought it though, it looks AWESOME!

That's sweet, but I am sure you could get another member to make one for less once the decals become available.

it might be a little cheaper if you were to have it done by someone on here im sure if you really want to add that nice truck to your collection. I know that is one of the trucks I am thinking about doing myself.

Let me know if you get the decals to do the truck. Ive thought of trying to buy some sheets of other cars and trying my hand at it. There are some cool Hamlin Nationwide wins (just decals) on ebay, but when I looked the only Toyota donor options that were produced were limited numbered Kyle Busch ones and arent cheap to begin with.

What year are you talking about? There r lots of toyotas out there now if you are talking about the newer body style. Brian Vickers, Sadler, Bubba Wallace, Travis Pastrana, etc.

It was an '08 Game Stop Mario Kart raced. I looked at diecast list and there were only a few toyotas made that year and all Kyle Busch. Most were under 1000 made and the most was around 2500 and was the Nationwide Champ car. would hate to make that car a donor!

I assume you mean the older style Toyota mold like COY or Pre COT style? IF so then you have more options than you think. You got the MWR cars with David R, Dale J, and there are a few made. I wouldn't worry about how many were made if I wanted a custom of a car and it was a rare body style. There is a reason why you see them go for cheaper.

I picked up one of Logano's GameStop to make a custom off but haven't got around to it yet.

Wilbur is right u have tons of options. You also have vickers Redbull Toyota, and Allmendinger. They also made a car commemorating Kyles wins, i think 2009. I loved that Super Mario car!! Good luck.

Its was a Nationwide car. Is there another year of cup or nationwide body that would be similar? For '08 Nationwide Toyotas there were just the Kyle Busch's.
I explained above, the 2007 non COT which is referred to as either Gen 4 or Car of yesterday will work, You have the cars from MWR, RedBull, JGR (cup and NW). I will add some links when I get on the computer of cars you can use.

I'd much rather have a piece of sheet metal off that truck. There is a nice piece with the Jordon logo on ebay for $100 right now
That's going to be a good piece to have. Anything Michael Jordan is very collectable in itself, but add that to the rare NASCAR sponsorship, and it's even better.

Is that the first time the Jordan brand / logos have ever been on a NASCAR race car? I know Denny Hamlin has had the Jordan logos on his firesuit, gloves, etc. for awhile, but I don't remember ever seeing the Jordan logos on the actual vehicle.

It was the first time Jordan brand has been in NASCAR as a sponsor on a car. He does have a motorcycle team he sponsors as well.

It would have fetched a pretty penny I'm sure. I'm actually shocked that the panel didn't go for more to a degree.
Agreed. From pictures I've seen of the truck, it looks as if there's only 5 Jordan Jumpman logos on the whole truck.

I know there's one blue Jumpman logo on each quarter panel, one white Jumpman logo on the bed of the truck, one white Jumpman logo on the tail of the truck, and of course the large black Jumpman logo on the hood.

Jordans name is still bringin top dollar!!
I collect retro jordan shoes and I can't believe how much hype is still around them. I just buy the ones I used to own growing up just because they remind me of the good ole days.

I bid on it. Was hoping it'd go under the radar being from Hamlin's truck but boy was I wrong. I was only wanting to pay half of what it sold for. Would have been a great piece to have.
