i have read over the article of Ma calling out CFS on their release of the COT's. well for the most part alot of the cars that have been release have been on the ball and i comend MA for not just putting out a COT that is not "perfect" to what the "rule book" says.

well i guess its time for the collectors to call out MA on the authenticity of the cars that they release.

i enter into evidence exhibit A.

now the car on the left is what is being sent out to the collectors and the car on the right is what was actually run.

now i ask the jury,

where is the authenticity?

i hope to get a fair and just verdict from you.

Oh come on now, they "rushed" that car out in "only" 7 months. What do you expect, perfection?

Man, that's not even close. Just at a quick glance I can see that the color is wrong and the bright orange tape on the front valance is not there. There are probably more if one was to take the time to really look. They have NO ROOM to talk about CFS when it comes to authenticity.

the paint color is different, the sponsors rae shifted, and look towards the back of the car where it says goodwrench there is a big red sticker that i cant make out but you can plain as day notice it not on the diecast. the red lines that make out the tribal design down the side of the car is outlined wrong, some of it is too long and stretched where as some of it is shortened and moved up.

They just want to run the Diecast Business.
That statement right there sums things up perfectly.

When it comes to quality and authenticity, the bottom line is that it won't stop people from buying it. Whatever "it" is.

This year looks to be another in a growing trend of more quality issues rather than authenticity. But both continue to be real and valid concerns. At some level, M/A listens to these complaints regarding the issues. But the only way to get their attention is to not buy it. The problem is that M/A has no competition, so behind closed doors, M/A will strive to get it the best they can, and will be reasonably confident that the collectors will largely eat it up.

I watched QVC last night and was impressed with the detail they are putting forward on the Dale Sr cars. Those things M/A seems to take seriously towards putting an excellent product in the marketplace. But with that, they have one big customer (QVC) in their ear telling them exactly what they want, or QVC will find something else to sell at a 100% markup no problem.

In my mind, Ron has been the official/unofficial TCL authenticity police. He literally has years of examples. I think we all could collectively come up with a list of flawed diecast. The trend will continue in my opinion because M/A will continue to operate largely unchecked. Aunt Ruth had no choice but to bite back when CFS got their COT diecast out to market first. M/A will certainly win in the end and will have some very good detail on their COT diecast, but to me she opened a can of worms when preaching about the authenticity.

Since the name of the company is Motorsports "Authentics" , they better take a departure from the mindset that "A Name is Just a Name" and live up to the authentic part. Aunt Ruth's biting comments just made her the flag bearer for hitting that authenticity and quality on a regular and consistent basis.

In my opinion Joker, that Harvick car is not even close. I'm sure Ron will add it to the list....... Guilty as charged.

Now I'm almost glad they didn't do that car in the right scale. Ouch! I can make it better myself. Why is there nothing on the tire? Is that supposed to simulate the markings being rubbed off? If it is, it's WAY too shiny for a rubbed tire...

By the way, I count at least 16 things wrong with that car, and I don't even own it!

I got the car in. This has to be the worse job of a diecast that I have ever purchased. The sponsor stickers look like add on stickers instead of decals, the clear coat totally sucks on certain parts of the car, the raced markings are all over the hood and trunk but absolutly none on the gray fenders. The front valance looks like it doesn't even belong on the car or wasn't completed. It is junk!!!! Back to what I was saying about Harvicks cars for last year. Some got produced others didn't and now this one that FINALLY got released is so far off of being authentic that MA has no room to talk but really needs to go hide there heads as this is the biggest piece of junk diecast I have ever seen come from there releases as of this date!!

That is the worst job by a MASS PRODUCER, WHAT THE HELL WERE THEY THINKING. They rushed that entire car without a thought about the reprocutions!! Obviously everyone that actually looks at the car will return it, but they will get people not knowing to keep it!!
