I've bought from that seller before and had good experiences (but not auto'd items), and he seems to have a lot of auto'd items in his Ebay store. He is located in North Carolina and would have access to drivers to get autographs. Having said that, I personally wouldn't buy a Dale Jr. autographed car without a hologram, and generally I don't buy autographed items off of Ebay.

I agree. I have 2 signed ones with Hologram and 1 in person while he was walking through a crowd. I got so lucky he grabbed my car.

I know Calvin, he was in the garage both weekends at Daytona. I would never guarantee an autograph I didn't see signed by I do trust Calvin when it comes to autographs. He is one of the few guys I would actually be willing to sell an autograph in our stores that came from someone other than myself or my family. He and I have stood in many of the same garage stalls waiting for autos over the years.

he hawks autographs like it's his job...don't care for the guy personally...I'd GUESS it's legit as he spends more time getting autos than contributing to society for my taste...but with that said, as much time as he spends in the garage..this is the type of guy who could set himself up for forgeries..my Life lesson is...if you didn't secure it yourself or have it done by someone you know/company/team....you take a huge risk..there isn't an opinion or authentication process in this world that is 100% proof... other than the eyeball test...if it was seen by your eyes...it's legit. Otherwise it's a risk. To me half the dang thrill is getting it done and meeting the driver...and yes even DALE EVEN DALE JUNIOR is 100% more accessible than he's ever been.. HMS made him a happier boy.

not to be 'jerkish' but I'm sure my horde of detractors will be critical of this...but a wheelchair may actually be to your advantage. MOST of these guys are very respectful and appreciative of fans who have limitations getting around and tend to be more accomodating...don't ever sell the opportunity short, it's worth a chance...assuming you can get yourself to pit lane, the odds are in your favor and it would be a memory of a lifetime.

by all means...make every effort to take advantage of opportunity...if you can call the speedway in advance, let them know about your circumstances and I'm sure someone at the speedway offices can help make it simpler. I know charlotte is actually one of the easier places to get around as they have a HUGE tunnel to the infield...best time to be there is during qualifying as drivers are REAL laid back...heck even give HMS a call and see where that gets you..lesson learned by myself in this whole process...if you ask ten people, the first nine will simply tell you no...nothing lost, nothing gained...but that tenth person just might be the one. phone calls are nothing but time.

absolutely good call and the drivers are much more 'at home' literally..so without all the hustle they tend to be more laid back and more accessible. Kahne is actually pretty easy to find at his own personal race shop. Petty is often at the Roush campus now that they joined forces..and actually if you look on jayski they usually have an updated appearance list. The downside is, it also draws a lot of attention...so it's a crapshoot, good luck and have fun. I was there last season and had a blast.
