STAFFORD SPRINGS, Conn. — Chris Perley won the ISMA supermodified feature, which headlined the eighth annual Carquest Extreme Tuesday program at Stafford Motor Speedway June 28.
Christopher took the lead from the pole and set a blistering pace. Christopher was running strong in the lead and was maintaining a several car length lead over Johnny Benson in second at the lap-10 marker. Perley was beginning to make a charge to the front of the field.
The action was slowed by the caution flag with 27 laps complete and Chrisopher pulled away on the restart while Perley and Benson battled for second with Perley taking the spot.
With lapped traffic approaching, Perley closed right up to Christopher’s bumper and made the pass for the lead on lap 43. Perley took the checkered flag ahead of Christopher, Benson, Timmy Jedrzejek and Russ Wood.
Keith Rocco won the Champions for Charities modified feature, as the 14 championship drivers involved, raised $40,000 for their selected charities.
