Well, I went back to Mardens today and picked through the diecasts for about an hour. I picked out a bunch of cars for people who have requested cars and talked to Darcy on the phone as to which Kahne/Mears/McMurray cars he wanted lol.

I ended up buying 8 more cars (14 total). I bought two for myself to trade or sell off down the road. The rest I picked up for others.

J.J. Yeley - 2007 Motorsports Authentics (limited edition) #18 Interstate Batteries (holding for someone on another site)

Kasey Kahne - 2006 Motorsports Authentics (1 of 2,268) #9 Dodge Dealers Fan Design Dodge (one for Darcy and one for someone on another board)

Jeff Burton - 2006 Motorsports Authentics (1 of 1,356) #29 Holilday Inn Chevy (for someone on this board)

Denny Hamlin - 2006 Action (1 of 2,508) #20 Rockwell Automation Chevy (for someone on another board)

This is probably my favorite car I got today
Jamie McMurray - 2003 Action (1 of 7,608) #42 Havoline Dodge, Davey Allison retro (for Darcy)

Matt Kenseth - 2006 Team Caliber Preferred Series (maximum of 1,800) #17 Ameriquest (Nextel Cup) Ford

Another beautiful Kahne. Second fav on the day.
Kasey Kahne - 2006 Motorsports Authentics (1 of 1,980) #9 Dodge Dealers Mopar Dodge

Jackpot, Day 2, Part 2

Well, I returned two cars (the Yeley and the Kahne hometown car) and went to get a David Ragan car.

So I got the Ragan. They had two, so I got the nicer one.

David Ragan - 2007 Motorsports Authentics (Limited Edition) #6 AAA Ford

Now... if you guys didn't already hate me for finding some very good prices, you will now...

After going through all the cars they had there twice (any many other people going through them). After getting the Ragan I continued to search and found something unbelievable.

Kyle Busch - 2003 Action (1 of 2,400) #87 ditech.com AUTOGRAPHED!!!

I couldn't believe it when I opened it up to take a look. There were two others guys on the other side of the table, bragging about how much money there were going to make when they sell them on ebay. They were PISSED when I showed them the car. lol.

You can read it from the pic, but it does say that it's autographed. The only thing wrong with this car is that the box doesn't have a sleeve. But hell, still worth the $18!

i really like that jeff burton holiday inn car. reminds me so much of when i was a kid 45 years ago. we always stopped at the holiday inn, or i pestered my parents to, so i could get the fried clams on a hot dog roll with fries. all smothered in mustard. then a dish of chocolate ice cream. man, seems like yesterday in my mind...... loved hojos!
thanks for the photos!
