Kicking off his 2016 debut, Jeffrey Earnhardt will be driving the Can-Am sponsored #32 for Go Fas Racing in the 57th Annual Folds of Honor Quiktrip 500 at Atlanta Motor Speedway, Sun. February 28th. This will be the first major primary sponsorship race of the season with Can-Am. Earnhardt, 26, from Mooresville, NC, has previously raced at Atlanta twice with his best finish of 25. He moves up to the Sprint Cup series after achieving 66 starts in the Xfinity series. Jeffrey will be running in at least 20 races in the #32 car this Sprint Cup season for Go Fas Racing and their partnership with Can-Am.
“My goal has always been to become a NASCAR Sprint Cup driver so this partnership between GoFAS, Kappa, Cyclops Gear and Can-Am is huge for me,” Earnhardt said. “I'm thrilled to have Can-Am on board as our partner for 2016. I'm an avid outdoorsman and their products are the gold standard for outdoor sports, so it's a perfect fit. With Can-Am supporting our team we're certain to increase our competitiveness throughout the 2016 season.
Earnhardt has been working hard to make his way to Sprint Cup and with this deal begins the next chapter in his racing career. "I said it before, it's been a long road. We've been working hard and we finally made it to the dance. I'm looking forward to racing full time and working with Archie, Mason and the GoFas team to exceed our sponsors expectations and grow our program similar to what the 78 team's done over the past few years" commented Jeffrey.
I'm not expecting the #32 team to go and start running better overnight, but I think finally building their program around just one driver is great for the team.
