NASACAR races this weekend.

Nextel: Out of 72 possible Car/Driver combinations why are there only 50 entries for the 43 spots? So what does that leave 13 to compete for 7 starting positions?

Busch: Out of 145 possible Car/Driver combinations why are only 45 registered for 43 spots? At least 19 or more registered are Cup, Truck, or Over The Hill Drivers. So much for the Busch Series without the BushWhackers it looks as if they would be hard pressed to have a full field.

Craftsman: Out of 86 possible driver/teams only 38 are registered for 36 spots? Several are Cup/Busch/Over The Hill drivers. It is same situation as Busch.

And I cannot help but including the IRL even though I cannot seem to find out who is registered for the May 30th race at Richmond International.

IRL: They have 33 listed teams/drivers entrants, only 19 showed up to for the Iowa Corn Indy Race and they were all driving the same cars, Dallara Chassis with Honda engines. Looks like a good venue for those interested in Equal Car Racing.

72 possible car/driver combinations? Where is this coming from? There are about 50 teams trying to run every race while the rest go to the 'big money' races. NH isn't one of those races. Also sponsors want to be on cars that are the bigger races, again, NH isn't considered one of those races.

It is all there except for the IRL on NASCAR.Com. I will admit there is a small perecntage of the Driver/Team combos that over lap.

So I guess you are admitting Sponsors like NASCAR control who races where.

Ofcourse. No money, no race. NASCAR is too expensive of a sport to do on your own. How many teams run a full season without sponsorship? I can't think of one.

Enough said as we sit back and watch one potential competitor after another go away till a point is reached where there are only a few competiors left. Says a lot for the sport dosen't it.

It seems that if you want to start your own team, you have to have a big time sponsor of course, but it seems the only way to do it these days is to merge ith another team and bring in millions. whats gonna happen in 30 years or so? Is is still gonna be Hendrick, Gibbs, RCR, etc.?

Listen my friend, freedom of speech can range in everything, whether its paragraphs of beating a dead horse or telling someone to take a hike. So like it or not we have our rights too, we're always not going to be always happy or kind to what people have to say. So if I find someone to be dumb or annoying I'm going to say it. If I don't have anything I don't want to say, I won't. Simple as that.

exactly i can. there is a fine line in between where yall went with it. you didnt give your counter opinion to differ from his opinion, you went at him. as far as you leaving, you do what you want to do. i didnt tell you to leave, all i said is that if "yall" dont like it then leave. if you took it as i was aiming it at you, then we can go that route too. as of now this is done
