Michael Waltrip Ended his duel race (Duel 1) After getting in a wreck by himself (on miscommunication) trying getting back Onto the track after coming out of pitroad.

But there was a tweet on tweeter saying that Robby Gordon is going to sell his spot in the daytona 500 to Michael Waltrip if the price is right.

Remind you that a Waltrip has raced in the daytona 500 for 40 consecutive years!

Cant wait!

Robby is a Business man now and has stated that he enjoys racing stock cars but everything else too....I could see this happening...it'd be a stretch since it's a Dodge to Toyota but if it happens I wouldn't be surprised.

Terrible move and I for one don't want this. If you don't make the race via the top 35 rule now there are so many ways to make a race:

A) Buy owner points if you weren't in the top 35.
B) Qualify fast enough.
C) Race your way in via the Duel.
D) (Apparently) Buy your way in after you failed to qualify because you crashed due to a mistake caused by yourself.

Waltrip doesn't deserve to be in the 500 and I will be very disappointed to see him taking the green flag.

If Michael f*#king up trying to get on the track from the apron isn't proof enough that he doesn't belong and doesn't deserve to be on that track on Sunday (or any other racetrack, ever again), I don't know what does. IF,IF This was to happen, this just shows what's wrong with the sport.

It shows that money talks and qualifying is a sham.

I'm won't be surprised that Nascar will disallow it. I mean there are ways for a team to earn a spot into the 500. I think if Waltrip does buy his way into the 500 his dumb, I like Waltrip over Gordon, I'd rather see Robby sit it out, but I also would rather not see Robby get money the money. My thoughts

I like Michael, I really do... but he wrecked himself. He wasn't wrecked by someone, he wrecked himself in a mistake that people on iRacing would do. He doesn't deserve the shot at buying a ride after he messed his chances up.

My opinion of course.

If Robby would rather sell the ride than race in the 500, NASCAR should give him 2 options. Race the car himself or the next go or go home qualifier from his duel race is in. This has to stop somewhere. Sorry for Michael but he had his chance and didn't get the job done.....

I believe Waltrip has bought his way into a race before. If you can't qualify, you suck too bad to race.

Not a fan of this. If Robby is going to sell his spot then he needs to sell his team and get out of NASCAR. He took a spot that could have went to another Go or Go homer.Waltrip has no business being in the 500. He wrecked himself coming out of the pits for gosh sakes. I am assuming he will cause another wreck during the 500 too but with multiple cars.
