Well, I showed these to the admins and moderators a couple of months ago and have finally realized that now is as good a time as any to show off the crown jewels of my collecting obsession. Most of you know that I'm a huge Bobby Labonte fan and that I have several serial numbered items that match Bobby's car number in my collection. A lot of you know that I'm a huge Cowboys fan as well. I have one Julius Jones card that is numbered 21/100 and its the only thing I have like that for the Cowboys. On the other hand, I have something much more rare than that. I have something that no one else can say they have.

In 2006, Sweet Spot (division of Upper Deck) produced its series of cards as normal. They also included autographs as most sets do. Their autographs were made to be unique though as some were autographed pieces of football, called Sweet Leather. They also produced several Dual Signature Sweet Leathers, whether they were teammates in the NFL, in college or just having some sort of connection. Sweet Spot produced a Dual Sigs card containing Jason Witten and Anthony Fasano, a pair of tight ends that play for the Cowboys. Actually, they didn't produced one card, they produced five cards. Now, earlier I said that I had something no one else could say they have. If I had one card, four other people could have a card as well. If I had two cards, then three other people could have a card as well. See where I'm going with this? That's right, I have ALL 5 of the Dual Sigs that Sweet Spot produced of Jason Witten and Anthony Fasano! Here they are!

Like I have sadi before. That is one set of cards that no one else has. Glad you finally went public with them Believe. I now think you should send it into Beckett. I am sure you will make the headlines. It would be great to see you in the magazine one month. But it is up to you if you want to send it in. Congrats on having all 5 cards. I know you searched like hell trying to find them all.

I got the first two in December, one in January and I think one in February. I had gotten those four off of eBay. You guys can ask Geebi to verify this, but I was going nuts trying to find the last one. There was certainty that it would show up anytime soon or even at all. I had automatic notifications from at least 4 different sites and I would check others multiple times a day searching for that last card. I was going absolutely bonkers looking for it. I had finally resigned to the fact that it might take a long time. I mean, if I pulled one of those out of a pack and was a Cowboy fan, I wouldn't be running out trying to sell it. For all I knew it was in a pack that might not be opened for months or years. Might have even went to a 9 year old kid that would treat it like crap and be stuck in his closet for years. Then, one day in April I did my search of eBay and BOO-YOW! There was no picture available and no serial number given. I knew the only one I didn't have was 2/5, and I caught this auction like 15 minutes after it was listed. I must have sent that guy three questions before he answered. Said it was Sweet Spot, it was both of them and then when he finally said it was 2/5, I locked in. He had it listed as a Buy It Now of $129, which was a little more than twice the amount I paid for any of the other four, but I didn't care, I HAD to have it!

Thought I would bring this back to life due to Anthony Fasano being a shining light in the Dolphins 1-2 existence. He scored a touchdown in their first game and then was a part of Ronnie Brown's somewhat historical day (second player to ever run for 4 TD's and throw 1 TD in a single game) when Ronnie tossed a 19 yard touchdown to him. Don't think he'll ever be as good as Witten, but it's pretty cool to now see both of these guys doing good.
