well i just heard from Blazzer and he just picked up some new 2006 1:87 that were not on the original release list. there are 5 new cars and they are being released as a 2006 in the grey boxes.

the list is as follows:

Jeff Burton---Cingular

Dale Jr--- Oreo

Bobby Labonte--- STP/ Hamburger Helper

Jeff Gordon--- Nicorette

Carl Edwards-- with the white lettering on the hood, but same POP#

he wanted me to go ahead and post them so everyone will know they are out, he will post pics later.

so that means it is very possible that the Truex that was "supposedly" not released last year might have been.

I saw a couple of the Oreo one's on the bay and at first I thought they were customs since I never knew they were being produced. I still haven't found the 2nd wave of this years with all the Yotes and such.

Additional pictures of new 1/87's

Here are pictures of the rest of the mix...there is a variation to the Matt Kenseth 1/87. I have included pictures of both the variations. The new one that was just released has a larger green R+L Carriers logo right underneath the D in Dewalt by the back wheel and also has a few different logos on the front quarter panel, like Direct TV. The older version has a smaller green R+L Carriers logo.

Who do you have to sleep with to be allowed to cut open the cases yourself? :what:

So anyway I found the Labonte STP car at my Wally today, maybe this means all the other "missing" 2006 cars are still coming. :-D
you dont have to sleep with anyone, just put the case in your buggy and open it down the aisle. either that or just walk up and open it right there on the pallet.
