if the 500 is pushed back until easter weekend, would the 2011 top 35 in owners points stay locked in until martinsville (which would be the new race #5)?

I would think it would still be the next four races following Daytona (Phoenix, Vegas, Bristol, Fontana) because they already had qualifying for Daytona. If they move this race to Easter, they will not requalify.

No way they dont run it Tuesday if it gets canned tonight
but there's also a chance of rain tomorrow. plus, that only gives the teams 2 1/2 days to get to phoenix. the larger teams are preparing hauler swaps, the testing hauler will bring the phoenix cars and meet the primary haulers along the highway somewhere and switch cars, with the testing hauler bring the daytona cars back to the shops in N.C., but that would pretty much leave some of the smaller teams with only one hauler (BK, NEMCO, TBR) s.o.l.

You are making the assumption NASCAR cares about the smaller teams....

As I posted about NASCAR increasing entry fees for the Nationwide Series by 25 percent, they obviously don't care.

Soon all the teams will be affiliated with Hendrick, Roush, Gibbs or RCR. All others be damned.
