maybe i missed this, but don't see a post. patrick carpantier will drive in the cup race for scott riggs this weekend. also has a busch ride.

He will be the next one looking for a ride next year. Evernham done the same thing to Mayfield last year. Then the next thing you know Mayfiled was looking for a ride.

Yeah, i don't see Scott Riggs with the #10 team next year. Kinda too bad. He seems like a nice guy, but you have to wonder how much effort Evernham has put into the 10 team. GEM Motorsports has pissed away over half the season already with their 'aero' problems. Hopefully Riggs can land on his feet somewhere.

Well they are one spot out of the top 35, I don't think Riggs is that strong at road courses, I think its smart on Evernhams part. Riggs may not like sitting out nor do Riggs fans enjoy seeing him sit out, but if Carpantier gets them that much closer to the top 35, things will be alot easier for Riggs.

I think the whole EMS team is not doing all to hot. Maybe they need 3 new drivers for the road course. I sure though Kasey would be tearing it up this year after last years performance.

this is the start of what will become an eventful end of the season. They shouldnt say, "We are in the Race to the Chase" They should say, "We are in the Race to see who all will switch seats during the Chase". All the rumors of who will switch to what car will all come up in 5 races.

I kind of saw this coming I mean Scott is a nice guy and all but his carrer has seem to be in a constant stall since leaving the Busch Series, he has one good race once in a while but it seems to carry on.

Not the Crew Chiefs of three different cars, or three different drivers. The teams took a crap and SHE is not remotely to blame. I can't put my finger on the magical answer to what the problem is, but it is definately not her. She is a very promising race car driver and she has proven it. She has had the typical woes of most drivers who have raced on dirt all of their life and move to bigger cars on pavement too quickly, but she won a WoO feature and there aren't any NASCAR drivers other than Dave Blaney who can say they have done that. :No:

I do not really care about Ray, Erin, Scott or any of them, I just wish people would quit making excuses for drivers when they get cut like this.
Stuff like - They put more resources into the other teams ... With a better team he would win more ... etc etc

I am sure Scott is great and all that, but fact is there are other drivers out there that will probably produce better finishes. Mayfield, Nemechek, and that whole group. Sure they are great guys, but the truth is the truth, and they are just not able to compete at the top of this level very consistently, and every owner is looking for someone who can.

Put Jimmy Johnson and Chad Knaus in the 10 and next year it is in the chase ... if they quit blowing tires! :rofl:

If the driver was good, top level rides would be falling all over themselves bidding to get him in their seat ... ie Kyle Bush ... nobody likes him, but everybody wants him in their car.
