That'd be nice, but his luck is not the best of late. His All Star car was great till he hit the wall.
He's had crappy luck his whole career. Just read he's had 22 second place finishes in his career. That's 38 top two finishes. Plus things like Dover of 2004 where he hit Mears' oil while leading with less than 20 to go. But if Kahne has a car like he had last week, I'm sure he can get the job done.

the only reason kahne hit the wall is because nascar didnt clean the oil up on the track

You got me curious about Jr's 2nd place finishes. Jr has finished 2nd 25 damn times....geez so many almost wins. That's 45 top 2 finishes.

Wow, 22 second place finishes? Like April said, I was curious as to how many times Gordon's finished 2nd. I looked it up, and as far as I could see, Gordon's finished 2nd 70 times. That's 159 top 2 finishes. Wow...

I'm not sure how I'd look this up but I'm curious to know how many time Kahne has crashed while leading. I can think of four times off the top of my head and I know there are more:

Dover 2004 (oil on the track)
Chicago 2004 (hit by Stewart)
Charlotte (fall) 2004 (tire)
Michigan (spring) 2013 (tire)

Yeah, Kahne has terrible luck

Loudon 2010 Kahne led 110 laps and had an engine failure.
Kansas 2010 he crashed after leading 27 laps.

Qualifying is tonight? I'm glad I read this thread. At least I don't have to worry for too long. I highly doubt he's going home, but anything can happen, especially with group qualifying.

Go Brian, Brian, Carl, and Jamie.
