Status of Hamlins 500 win???

Has anyone heard anything about Hamlins 500 win meeting MOQ? Lionel's site had 5-6 different versions which worried me about getting at least a standard made with spreading pre orders thin.

Multiple versions is better for moq, that's not a bad thing

But they haven't said, they won't tell moq numbers for cars anymore

I am part of several groups on facebook and one posted that Hamlin's Daytona car is not close to meeting requirements at last count was 250 needs to get to 750 and elite has not met requirements either go to the Lionel forum here and it will tell you if it makes it or not plus Plan B says possily by early next week should find out
I mean there's no way it meets moq without help, which will be pretty pathetic if a d500 isn't important enough to order extras from fed-ex, Jgr, Hamlin etc, or hell Lionel itself should take a gamble being a d500

I think most of the reason why it has not been meet is the price of cars. the price drops so much after just 6 months to a year that probably most people just sit and wait til it drops to their comfortable level into spending for a car.

Something like the Daytona win needs to be made, so they should produce whatever was ordered. I know they wont do it but they should.

What's the last 500 win not made in some form? 2000? 1996?

2000 i think
My complete guess is that it will make it.

2000 sounds right to me.
I hope it gets made just so the Hamlin raced version curse will finally be over.

I did order one.

Its a real shame that a Daytona 500 Rv is at risk of not being made.
TBH, I'm not really wanting this one either, but I'd still be disappointed if it fails MOQ. The Daytona 500 winners should always be produced, ideally in both scales so I can continue my (very short) 1:64 Daytona 500 collection.
As per the Lionel forum it's getting made in Elite and ARC. I'm so excited that the car is getting made! cant wait for it to come in the mail. Hopefully it arrives before the Chicago Land race so I can get it signed.

I tried to order an elite but wouldn't let me. Does anyone know if it is sold out? I'm not currently a member but tried to add membership to the order.

I just signed in and it still shows available for pre-order. Your best bet is to call customer service at 1-800-952-0708 and they will help you get one ordered.

Thanks will try that.
That's awesome to hear it's getting made. I'll most likely get one once it's released to add to my JGR collection

I spoke with them and didn't realize I had a membership. I had a HOF membership for 3 years when I lived in Charlotte and at some point got a membership but didn't remember. Now have an ARC with Plan B and an Elite ordered!
