I'm looking for the Piedmont Airlines Terry Labonte #44 car, 1/24 scale. I'd probably even be ok if I didn't get a box with this one if it's in great shape as I've been searching for so long.

I just grew up watching races in this era with my Dad, so I'm trying to piece together a few that mean something to me, and apparently they're not easy to come by (The original Tide car, the Cale Yarborough Hardee's car, etc.)

$250 is definitely in the ballpark, same as the Yarborough Hardee’s car. Waltrip’s Tide car is less.

If you think that’s disappointing, wait until you see the cars they didn’t make and you have to go the custom route. CW Folgers/Richmond, Skoal Bandit/Gant, CW Bud/Bonnett, etc… It gets expensive to collect the ‘80s.

Thanks for the detailed reply. I wasn't sure if the prices I was seeing were a legitimate going rate, or if they were inflated as many are on eBay - appreciate the heads-up. But why, oh why, did you have to get me thinking about those impossible cars? hah!

Oh man, my head is spinning - the Aluguard car, I haven’t seen since my dad and I used to attend races, the ‘other’ Piedmont #3 car - super cool, and haven’t seen that anywhere either. Thanks for taking the time to share some pictures. 80’s dreams do come true.

There are definitely some custom magicians out there. The Alugard car is a favorite, along with the Rudd/Motorcraft, but my favorite are the Richmond cars. The Old Milwaukee car is just the best, even if I’m not a big fan of that particular Action mold. Regardless, it’s a classic. Hit me up if you need some custom artist recommendations.

Do tell - that brown Folgers with the gold numbering...is that an old Tim Richmond car, or is it Rick Hendrick? Haven't seen that one either.

Hendrick Chevy, driven by Tim in ‘86-‘87. Crew chief was Harry Hyde, the one and only. No telling what the record books would look like, had Tim not gotten sick.
