How many times have you walked up pulled a diecast off of a shelf and be surprised at what you just found! Maybe a Treasure hunt Hot wheel, Or a Chrome chase, even a piece of raced used memorabilia, Like the WC team aunthentics. Can you remember where you found it? Do you remember the day you got it where it was. Well yesterday of all places to find a really cool car was ,,,,,,,,,Yes in my own diecast room! Guys and Gals I've probably had this car for well over 6-7 years maybe even longer. It has been right out in the open on the shelf and I really didn't pay close enough attention to details. Some of you that have been collecting for some time and have tried to find those Chrome chase cars can really appreciate this one! Not only is it a chrome chase, it is also a rain delay with the rain cover sitting under the car but That's not all! It also has the laying rubber raced rubber imbedded tire card in the box too!!! I never noticed it! A Triple chase piece! As many of you may know by now. Medical conditions have considerably slowed down my diecast collecting. I have chosen to list a lot of my diecast on ebay to help recoop some of the money invested in this hobby over the years and to thin down my overwelming collection! It is now listed on ebay and hopefully some lucky person will find that unique rarity of this car and bid a decent bid for it! I offered it to joker_20 and he too is thinning down his collection and passed on it. I'm sharing these pics with you just because of the uniqueness of this piece. If anyone is intrested by all means good luck! If it doesn't sell I may offer it up as a monthly giveaway. I'm hoping that someone will help me out though and make a good bid for it!

I love fiding stuff that I didn't remember or know I had...when I finally sorted/cataloged my entire collection this past August, I found probably good 30 cars I didn't remember. When I cleaned my closet out for the first time since 1999 last month or so, I found close to 100 cars I didn't remember owning! Mostly variations and track cars, but they count big time.

Earlier this week I found a Jeff Green 2001 Chevy promo from Hot Wheels, the NesQuick car. It was, in all places, in a bag in the dining room that we all thought were the cooking materials for large meals! (Ever since my dad died, we don't cook as many thing as we used to, and thus don't need all the pots and pans and stuff)

As to your line about where you find stuff, I have three such stories of that. Both first two at Wal-Mart. Back in 2002 I found a Jerry Nadeau Chrome Chase right on the front of the pegs...Just pure luck, it's the only Chrome Chase car I've ever found at retail. (I have almost a dozen, I only buy them if they are priced $7 or less because I refuse to support scalpers). The other time was a Hot Wheels Treasure hunt, a Dodge Viper circa 1996. I also found it at Wal-Mart, in Lake George NY and it, too, was at the front of the shelf. It was so high we reqired assistance to reach it, and it too was the only Treasure hunt I found at retail. I only really collected Hot Wheels until 1999, too, at which point they annoyed me enough that I just quit, although I still pick up a few here and there.
My third and final story, is probably the least likely of all. I was up in Lake George again, and went to the hobby shop. Next to the hobby shop is a dollar store. Mom went in there to wait for me because it was summer and the Dollar store had A/C, lol. I finished up in the hobby shop and mom was still in the Dollar Store, so I went in too. Inside, I discovered that they had the new wave of Johnny Lightning Thunderbirds, and they had the entire wave so I piled them all in my cart. After I got home (to the cottage, we spend so much time there it's basically our second home) I start opening all my new cars up. As I'm looking at them, I notice one has white wheels instead of the normal chrome plating. Upon looking closer, I see that it also has white interior. I had found a White Lightning without even knowing it!
The next day we went back and I got two more copies of the car, one that I opened and another basic car that I hung on my wall next to the White Lightning. I looked and there were no more WLs either!
The next trip up we went back to the same Dollar Store and they didn't even have a place for the JL cars. Never have again, and this was probably 2000 or 2001.

Here's a photo of them.
