I was wondering why there are no "suprise" teams that show up for a race or two anymore in the sprint cup series.

Like in 2010 you had teams likes : Brandon Ash Racing, BAM Racing, Key motorsports, Derrick Cope Racing & such teams. What Happend to teams like these?

Many teams probably couldn't afford to build a Gen 6 car.

Brandon Ash stopped before Gen6, Schrader I think retired, Key and Cope race Nationwide.

The Gen6 did really shut things down for teams to run Cup. Give it a few years, I am sure well see more teams trying to field a Cup car/cars.

I rather see who we got now then Derrike Cope's team who would park after 5 laps.
